I’m Asif Shahid, a Sydney based watercolour artist originally from Dhaka, Bangladesh.
I spent my childhood learning from local artists in Bangladesh and successfully took part in local/national art competitions. At University, I completed my bachelor degree in Computer Engineering.
I moved to Sydney in 2009 to continue my career and further study. I returned to practicing and refining my painting skills in 2016 – focussing on landscape and street scenes. I find inspiration from artists such as; Milind Mulick, Alvaro Castagnet, Sergei Kurbatov, Chien Chung-Wei and Herman Pekel.
