Watercolour Demo

The City of Parramatta Art Society
2 August, 2025

I was invited by the Parramatta Art Society to deliver a live watercolour demonstration at Hunter Street Gallery. In this 2-hour session, I focused on simplifying complex subjects while preserving a strong sense of composition, colour harmony, and atmosphere.

The demonstration walked through my full process—from initial sketch to final washes—while I explained the decisions behind each step. It was a watch-and-learn session with an engaged audience, leading to thoughtful questions and discussions around technique, interpretation, and visual storytelling.

This session was a valuable opportunity to share my approach, connect with fellow artists, and reflect on how I translate real-world scenes into expressive, simplified paintings.

March Arts 2020

Canterbury Hospital

26 August, 2020

March Arts is a month-long celebration of The Arts across the health campuses of Sydney Local Health District.

As a local artist, I had an opportunity to participate in this program to highlight my culture in Australia. So my artwork represents Australian-Bangladeshi community celebrating "Pohela Boishakh" (Bengali New Year) in Australia.

On 26 August 2020, Canterbury Hospital authority invited all the artists for a morning tea and displayed all the paintings. It was also a great opportunity to see other artists and their paintings.

My painting will be hung in the outpatient area of the hospital.
